Suggest Treatment For Pain And Ear Infection
my 14 teen year old son has a ear infection he has been on meds for 2 days tommerow will make 3 days he is in pain still he is on amox/clavulanate 875 mg neomycin/polymyxin every 12 hours his ear is drinning.how long befor he feels better or shoulg no longer be in pain.

Ho.This may be due to acute infection in the nose - Rhinitis and Sinusitis with Otitis Media.
He needs to be changed to another antibiotic , get the relevant tests of blood done. Add on anti-inflammatory Medicines and antihistamine and a painkiller . This may take a few days to few weeks before the problem is completely resolved.
