Suggest Treatment For Pain And Discomfort In Heel After Injury

I have heel pain and discomfort after playing pickleball last friday for about 2hrs. Lots of pain Friday night and gradually easing off but still tender and some pain under right heel as I put my weight on it. Do you think it`s heel spur or planter fasciitis ? Want to get back on the court asap but earliest I can see podiatrist is july 1st. Thanks for your advice. George Brown,NC.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the concern. You have heel pain after playing pickleball. So there might be any injury during the play. You can take painkillers with serritopeptidase and do hot fomentation at least twice a day. You should also take rest at home that is you have to take minimum weight on that heel for some days.
You have asked about planter fascitis. It should be there but for that pain should be present from long time in heel and there should not be history of injury. For planter fascitis you have to wear spongy footwear available in market and have to take pain killers. Also you can take hot fomentation.
Take care
