Elderly female with osteoarthritis. Last Tuesday I had an incident
High is causing excruciating pain in my left hip. It feels like a knife being thrust into the hip joint when I attempt to get out of my lift chair. HELP! I live alone. I cannot get on line to my email which is aggravating also but can get text messages on my cell phone.

I would suggest you call ER in a hospital.In old age with osteoarthritis sudden sharp pain in hip could be some crack in femoral neck/internal injury in hip after accident.They should do immediate x ray and treat accordingly.You need tobe transported on stretcher in an ambulance preferably
