Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Toes

I have begun to have numbness in my big toe and second toe. It does not hurt but feels more like the toe is asleep. This is on my right foot. I have been seeing a podiatrist for nerve heel pain in my left foot and am on Diflenac for the pain. What do I need to do.

Hello,

You are suffering from numbness in the toe(right toe). You are on diclofenac prescribed by your treating doctor for nerve heel pain in your left foot. You are suggested to control your blood glucose level at all cost to help reduce the symptoms. You are suffering from peripheral neuropathy. Other factors that may cause similar symptoms are compression of the nerve, diabetes, inflamed bone, restricted circulation of blood, restricted circulation of the blood, gout, vitamin B12 deficiency, etc.

Stay away from addictions (smoking, alcohol, etc.) if any. Take food rich in vitamin B6, B12 or you can also take supplements. Physical therapy is advised if big toe pain is associated with muscle atrophy or muscle paralysis. Get clinically examined by an orthopedics, get required tests and imaging tests done. Numbing of the big toe can be caused by disc bulge, disc herniation, foraminal stenosis, etc. It will be accordingly treated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
