Suggest Treatment For Numbness In The Lips And Tongue
I work at a convenience store and today a man bought a couple of mountain dews, drank them, and then proceeded to say that his lips and tongue were numb. He said it was because of a soapy substance on the outside of the bottle... I'm just curious to see if he had any real complaint or was just trying to get some free soda or something. He looked like a construction worker so I'm not sure if it was something else on his hands that caused it or anything. Thanks for helping!
Understanding your concern. As per your query symptoms of numbness in the lips and tongue which are pointing towards to condition known an allergic reaction or infection which could be due to food allergy, soapy substance on bottle, excessive exposure to sun and it could be due to allergic reaction to construction material as well.
Need not to worry. I would suggest that person to take over counter antihistamine drug like benadryl and keep lip moist by applying lip balm containing broad spectrum sunscreen stop using any product.
If condition still persist then consult dermatologist for proper examination and to rule out any other underlying disease.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
