I had incidence of nose bleeds about 2 years ago, which my GP eventually seemed to fix with cauterisation. Unfortunately, they resumed about 2 weeks ago. My new GP tried again with silver nitrate, and naseptin, but bleeding continued intermittently. I have this morning had it cauterised again by my GP. We are both hopeful that this time it has fixed it, but if not he will refer me to ENT. My problem is I lost a crown and part of a back molar a couple of days ago, and I need to get this fixed as I have effectively a hole in my jaw, which is starting to ache/ prone to infection. I have a dental appointment this afternoon... but I am worried the bleeding may resume. It still feels like something is running down my throat, or that a clot is sitting there which needs to come out. I can t keep putting my dentist off, as I have already cancelled one appointmnet. Should I just leave well alone and hope for the best, or should I apply some more Naseptin?. My GP and I agree that I can t keep using this indefinitely, but I am concerned that as my nose is still sore, and not yet properly healed, an application of vaseline will only make things worse . Please may I have your advice. Thanks
