Suggest Treatment For Nose Bleed

Hello! I had a nose bleed today and I got up, leaned my head forward and added pressure to the bridge of my nose, (as all my doctors instructed). When it was almost done I twirled up the corner of a tissue and placed it inside of my nose so I could continue doing house work. After about 3 minutes I decided to check to make sure it was done. I went to the bathroom and stood over the sink, slowly pulle out the tissue and this long strip of something covered in blood came along with it. It felt really uncomfortable and hurt a little. I wanted to make sure this is completely normal and what it is. This has happend before, many, many times. Thank you for reading and replying in advance.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
The nose bleed (epistaxis) can be due to local injury, bursting of a tiny blood vessel, dryness of nose or nose infections. You have to get checked up by an ENT specialist, most probably by a nasal endoscopy. Also check your blood pressure.
As first aid, you can rub an ice cube over the nose, do not blow the nose, do not nose pick.
Saline nasal sprays can be used. If it still persists use an oxymetazoline nasal spray which will reduce the nasal congestion.

All the best
