Suggest Treatment For Nodules On The Vocal Cord

Told today by ENT I have a nodule on my vocal cords and the usual solution is surgery. I am allergic to anesthesia, therefore surgery from the waist up is not an option. Waist down, an epidural or spinal works. The ENT is putting me on 3 weeks of Prednisone and something for no symptomatic acid reflux. Will this course of treatment get rid of the nodule sufficiently?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The definitive treatment for vocal cord nodule is surgical removal of the same.
And the surgery of vocal cord nodule has to be done under anesthesia.
You need to discuss your allergy to anesthetic agents with your ENT specialist and anesthetic so that an appropriate option can be selected.
The measures taken by your ENT specialist- prednisolone and anti-reflux treatment are to prevent reflux during surgery and to reduce the inflammation caused by the vocal cord.
The complete treatment of the vocal cord nodule is its complete surgical removal.

Thanks and take care
