Suggest Treatment For Night Sweats

I have been experiencing night sweats, and have felt like my body is steaming at times. I am 70 years old, and past menopause. I also stopped taking hormone replacement therapy within the past 6 months. What are some causes of these symptoms? What kinds of tests can I take to find out why I m having this condition?
