Suggest Treatment For Nerve Damage In The Legs
absolutely....I have suffered with chronic nerve damage down my legs due to a broken tail bone 10 years ago. Although I usually take nothing for the pain as to have my brain adapt, aspirin once in a while, I was prescribed this Oxy..?...small green pill for my chronic, awful pain. Took one last night before bed, and....I NEVER closed my eyes or slept all night....Is this a side affect of this medication?...If so, I will NOT be taking another one. I take excellent care of myself, my health....so, for me to even have considered taking something more then aspirin to help me get through a nights sleep is huge for me...Any ideas?

Treating underlying medical problems is necessary to treat nerve damage. In the case of diabetes, a patient’s blood sugar must be well-controlled to prevent further nerve damage. Alcoholics must stop drinking alcohol, which can lead to serious leg nerve damage. A doctor will typically recommend non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) because these medications reduce chemical signals related to pain and inflammation. If taken as directed, these medications are safe in healthy patients. In more severe cases, a doctor may prescribe antiseizure medications, such as Gabapentin, or antidepressants, such as Amitriptyline, to relieve pain.
