Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
dear sir, my age is about 50+ now. few months ago i get breathing problem while i was sleeping in the morning. i have gone to my cardeologist and he has done my ECG. result comes that i has a myocardial infarction . doctor adviced me to go through Eco-cardiogram which results come out normal. further TMT has done and result comes Strongly possitive. now what i have to do? my bp is now 110/70.
Hello and welcome to HCM, A strongly positive TMT test indicates that the blood supply to your heart muscles are compromised during stress or exercise. Compromise to blood supply to heart muscles is due to reduced blood supply to heart. This reduced blood supply can be due to obstruction of large blood vessels or small blood vessels. In order to know the site of blood vessel obstruction, an angiography is required. In case there is obstruction of some large blood vessel, angioplasty will be done. In case there is obstruction of small blood vessels, medical treatment will be continued. Thus, get in touch with your cardiologist for further work up.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
