Suggest Treatment For Muscle Twitching In Foot

I was walking along, then suddenly my left foot below the ankle, felt like it was twisting on its own ( like it was seizing up. It lasted a few seconds,I stopped, and then continued walking as it just felt a little bit sore. It is now 4 hours later and it is so painful, I am hobbling and cannot walk because of the pain....what is this? The same thing happened 3 years ago, after a very long walk. Thanks Why do you need an email? Is this a free service

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal injury.
X ray of the ankle joint can be done to rule out any bone fracture or soft tissue injury.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of ice, analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
Supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D can be included in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.
