Hi , I have read your query. I feel bad for your father condition . After tracheostomy excess mucous production is common . If I were your father treating doctor, I would advice him Nebulisation with acetylcysteine thrice daily & syrup Ambroxol for mucus thinning . Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thanks.
