Suggest Treatment For Minor Tear Inside The Throat
I swallowed a not fully chewed chip last night and I literally thought my life was over because it hurt so bad and I tried to throw it up but it wouldn't come back up, so I started drinking lots of water to get it to go down, and it did but it feels like it scraped my trachea up by my larynx and all the way down near my primary bronchi. I just want to know if it will heal and how soon because I sing and it feels uncomfortable and slightly painful to swallow food and drinks. My voice secretly feels scratchy now too...do I need x-rays or a doctor's visit? I know I'm a super drama queen, but it actually is scaring me a tad bit, and I just need to make sure it's no biggie.

Do not worry the sharp margin of the chip must have injured or inflammed the oesophageal mucosa and this will heal on its own with time.
Just you have to take few steps to prevent super infection and to enhance quick healing .
you can start with antibiotic like amoxycillin with clavulanate along with anlagesics like aceclofenac paracetamol for 3 to 5 days.
avoid hot and spicy food stuffs ,alcohol , carbonated drinks , tobacco chewing and smoking as these may worsen the area affected.
Maintain good oral hygiene and drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated.
