General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This would not really be a fever. fever is characterized by a raised body temperature. a complete blood count is required to rule out an infection. Blood cultures could be required. An erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C reactive protein measures could be needed to exclude a systemic disease. The opinion of an internist would be worthwhile especially if this has been going on for quite some time. Regards
