Suggest Treatment For Migraine
what prescription medication do you recommend as a prevention for tension/migraine headaches? Have taken Topirimate with no success. I am currently on Nortriptyline 125mg q HS and Neurontin 300mg TID. I have not seen much improvement. I have average of 4 headaches a month, some better some worse. I take Imitrex and Naproxen when I have a headache and do get relief, although on occasion have had to repeat the dose. I am having side effects I believe from both medications. I am not sure if I should try another headache medication......

Your symptoms seem to be related to a migraine. I see that you had already used anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen without effect. I recommend using prescription medication such as Triptan to treat the headache.
