Suggest Treatment For Migraine

For the past 2 days I have had a migraine. There is something different about this migraine. I had a burning sensation on the right side of my head and my whole body got real hot. This happened several times last night. I even felt myself wake up because I thought I stopped breathing. Have any idea what s causing this?

Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern!

The symptoms you describe may be related to a temporal arteritis ( an inflammation of the temporal artery) or an infection. An intracranial infection can also mimic this clinical scenario.

I recommend you to consult with a neurologist, perform a routine blood test for inflammation, PCR, fibrinogen and sedimentation.

A brain CT scan may be necessary to exclude intracranial lesions.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
