Suggest Treatment For Migraine And Fatigue

For two days in a row my mother (age 66) has had a sick migraine headache that lasted each for about 30 minutes (complete with blurry vision). Today she s experiencing chills, stuffiness, strong pressure in her nose, nausea (but no vomiting), a slight cough and fatigue. She doesn t have an appetite. We took her temperature and it listed at 96 but she feels warm. Could this be a sinus infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

A sinus infection could be quite possible, but I would recommend a visit to the doctor, as migraine headaches can be quite debilitating. And if at all this is not a sinus infection, then only a doctor would be able to diagnose the cause through a physical examination and laboratory analysis. In the meantime, I would recommend some steam inhalation, just until she can visit a doctor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
