Suggest Treatment For Lung Cancer Despite Taking Chemotheraphy And Cisplatin

I have non small cell lung cancer. I would like to know how this type lung cancer kills and what kind of quality of life I can expect. I had lower part of right lung removed and also went through four cycles of chemotherapy treatment with cisplatin as the primary drug. The cancer has spread to the left lung and no other organs appear to be affected. My oncologist plans to put me on new immune system treatment as soon as it is available. My email address is

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The lung cancer has spread to other side lung and thus, it is carrying a bad prognosis.
It will not be possible to surgically remove the other side lung and thus medical treatment is the only treatment option left.
The new drug modality that your oncologist has suggested- immune mediated treatment is the most appropriate mode of treatment with this clinical condition.
It is very essential to stop the spread of cancer to other side lung and to other organs.
Once the cancer spread stops, it will be possible to maintain a fairly good quality of life.

Thanks and take care
