Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain And Tingling Sensation In The Toes

I have had lower back pain issues over the past 40 years. Brought on by heavy lifting @ work or other times and lasting 2 or 3 days, during which Advil eases the symptoms. I also have sciatica symptoms on occasion lasting for the same time and treated the same way. Since the Saturday after Thanksgiving, however, I had lower back pain for about 2 weeks that Advil barely touched but improved slightly each day and have had sciatica pain daily since. The sciatica pain used to go down the back of my right ass cheek and stop behind my right knee, the current pain goes the entire length of my leg leaving my toes with a tingling sensation and the foot slightly weaker than the left.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be due to conditions like peripheral neuropathy. As a first line management you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation is required including nerve conduction study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
