If low vit D levels then she should be given a satchet of vit D daily for few weeksand have periodical serum evels done.along with sufficient calcium supplements, diet rich in calcium, exposure to sun daily for 30 minutes to 1 hour.Dexa scanfor bone mineral density, serum ionic calcium also to be doneBiophosphonates may be added after BMD scores if necessary.also stool examination for malabsorption of calcium, any bowel or kidney disease should be ruled out.So consult an orthopedic doc./physician
