In some women, the placenta attaches low in the uterus and may cover the cervix (low lying placenta). Now you are at 13 weeks of gestation. In most cases, the placenta moves upwards as the uterus enlarges with progress of time. So a watchful wait strategy will be applicable in your case. However, in some women the placenta continues to lie in the lower part of the uterus in the last months of pregnancy. This condition is known as placenta praevia. You may bleed in the second half of pregnancy if placenta continues to lie lower. Bleeding can be heavy and you may need a caesarean section to prevent heavy bleeding during delivery.
Advice
1.     No need to get panic as placenta moves upwards with progress of time
2.     Do not involve into any strenuous activity
3.     Take maternity leave as per your company policy
4.     Take ferrous sulfate tablet daily per oral
5.     Eat fruits, vegetables, eggs, cheese and dairy products
6.     Be watchful for any bleeding per vaginal and abdominal pain
7.     In case of any bleeding, immediately go to hospital
8.     Investigations – USG at 22 weeks, Hb%
Thanks
