Suggest Treatment For Low BP And Tightness In The Chest Area
Friend of mine with type 1 diabetes had an incident yesterday of a white flash he describes and then when he put a heart monitor on his pulse was 199 blood pressure was low 90/60. Says chest was very tight and was very fatigued. Says pain radiated to his left arm. He is fine today and heart rate is back down. What could cause this? Is on a low blood pressure Med also. Male age 44 no other problems with his diabetes diagnosed at age 2.
It is very likely the symptoms he experienced with the white flash and chest pain are related to his pulse changes. When the pulse goes high the heart has it difficult to fill in completely with blood and may pump less blood then it should in the system, causing the brain and the heart itself to be sensitive to this low blood flow so there was changes in vision and also chest pain.
He needs to follow the instructions of the doctor related to treatment and follow up because treatment depends on what kind of rhythm problems was found in the ECG during the time of the episode and treating it and preventing future episodes is important to prevent brain or heart damage.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
