Suggest Treatment For Low BP And Heart Murmur

My 80 year old husband has CHF but has low blood pressure--ex. 90/60 usually. He has two faulty heart valves, but the Dr. says general anesthesia is out of the question. However, he had a successful knee replacement in June 2014. What needs to be done to help him? He has had a heart murmur for over 60 years or more.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Thank you for your question! I recommend a cardiac ultrasound to study his heart valve problems and to quantify his overall cardiac function; after ECHO exam and cardiologist consultation can be concluded if your husband is appropriate and should perform a heart valve replacement intervention; and also to quantify the risk of anesthesia for any noncardiac surgical intervention.
Hope to have been of help to you.
