Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Sense Of Taste And Smell

I had the virus with sinus and upper respitory the second week of Nov. Lost my sense of taste and smell suddenly. Had 2 z packs and a round of antibiotics and steroids and I still have not regained my taste and smell. Once in a while I get a faint smell but its gone with continues smelling. I have had the loss for about 6 weeks.

HI
Well come to HCM
Because of the inflammatory process sensory cells damages and due to this sense of smell lost on temporary basis as soon as the course of infection overs this comes to normal and this is nothing to worry, for the early, recovery you can try antihistamine and the best option is "Tab Chlormpheniramine maleate"
you can even try steam inhalation, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day,
I find this answer helpful
