Hello,

During pregnancy, do not eat deli meat. You can eat meat, cooked at home and fresh.

In pregnancy, it is very common to have diarrhea. Most important thing is to prevent dehydration. You must remember, at any cost, dehydration cannot be tolerated, bad for you and the baby inside.

Keep drinking plenty of water. Do not go for medication like loperamide during pregnancy.

Some tips to keep away from diarrhea during pregnancy:

1. BRAT diet-bananas, rice, grated or stewed apples or apple sauce and toast

2. Keep raw foods separate from ready-to-eat foods.

3. Steer clear of raw or unpasteurized dairy.

4. Thoroughly cook your raw meat. Use a meat thermometer if need be. Some harmful bacteria can’t survive at a high temperature.

5. Avoid packaged meats as much as possible.

6. Wash fruits and vegetables well before eating.

7. Store perishable foods safely.

8. Pay attention to expiration dates.

9. Store foods in the freezer to retain optimum freshness.

10. Opt to defrost foods instead of letting them sit out at room temperature.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
