Suggest Treatment For Lesions On The Outer Part Of My Vagina

I am 67 yrs old. have not had any intercourse in yrs. I have a lesion on the outer part of my vagina that stings and is red. I had a pap smear about 2 months back and the nurse practioner said not to worry. Well it is uncomfortable and will not go away. Have used vagisil and ii still persist. Was on an over load of antibiotic when this started. I have medicated myself 3 times since for yeast infection. I have no odor or discharge. What else can I do. I live in a rural community and don t go to town often.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Incase of swelling, redness and discomfort, vaginal infections should be ruled out.Any watery or bloody discharge should be ruled out.In case of raised swelling or tumour like lesion, biopsy should be taken to rule out the nature of the swelling.Kindly avoid self medication.

Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.

Regards
