Suggest Treatment For Lesions In Arteries On An Angiogram
Hi. I am a 54 male. Angiogram showed 5 lesions two of which at 90 to 95% the others at 70 or lower at circumplex while the bigger ones at the lower portions of the left and right main arteries. Is it immediate for medical intervention to be had or medication will suffice? Not a drinker nor smoker but a gym buff prior to this condition so trim and in shape. My doctors seem to be scalpel happy perhaps for the trade side of it, i suppose. Thank you.

HI welcome to HCM.Your angiogram revealed high risk total or near total occlusion of the coronary vessels.This requires immediate attention in the form of percutaneous coronary stenting called as angioplasty.Major vessels involved in coronary circulation are affected.Medical therapy can be a supplement to the angioplasty.Your lesions may require 2 or more stents.A bypass surgical procedure may be an alternative.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
