Suggest Treatment For Left Scapula Pain

I have been having left scapula pain for months that has progressively worsened, no relief with NSAIDS, Muscle relaxers, or curtailing my fitness activities. Within the last 3 months the pain is constant and aggravating with intermittent heaviness in my left arm followed by numbness that seems to travel from my shoulder down the posterior arm, forearm into my hand and fingers. This is also transient but occurs many many times during the day and lasts 1-2 minutes. I have no neck pain, back pain or recent injury.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

First of all, get an EKG if that has not already been conducted. Once all cardiac abnormalities have been ruled out, we can go ahead with an MRI of your spine which could be the most likely cause for your presentation. Issues like a pinched nerve, bone spurs, spondylosis, disc herniation, etc; are all conditions that need to be looked into.

Best wishes.
