Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had left back & buttock pain since Thursday, and now the pain has radiated to the lower front left side around pelvis. Any clue what I m dealing with here? Been taking advil and icing the back area but I can not sleep well as it hurts to lie down.
Back pain and pain radiating down seems to be some compression of nerves in the lumbar region.Degenerative causes also give such pain Sometimes Muscle spasm can also give discomfort temporarily.
If the pain is because of muscle pull or spasm it will settle on its own by a week. Since its hurt in lying down you need to proper assessment . Depends on the duration and Severity of pain and other associated symptoms treatment modalities can vary.
Visit a Physician for Examination to rule out the cause. Regards Dr.S.Senthilnathan
