Hello,

Welcome to Health care Magic

I have read your question completely and understand your concerns

I am assuming that the lymph nodes that you doctor examined are of the head and neck region. You are right in saying that night sweats can be caused by hypothyroidism, but night sweats can be due to underlying other physical causes too like Tuberculosis, Lymphoma etc which are quite rare. I am unsure from your question if you have any other symptoms like loss of weight, pain, cough etc.

As there is associated lymph node swelling along with night sweats, if I was your doctor, I would run routine blood tests like blood counts, ESR, CRP, Auto antibody testing , do a chest x ray and then decide based on the results. There are many reasons for lymph node swelling right from minor infection to serious inflammation like Lymphoma, Tuberculosis, Sarcoidosis etc. (these are rare and I do not want to scare you). Without appropriate tests it is difficult to find out the cause of the lymph node swelling. If all the tests have come as negative, then it is safe to assume that these lymph node swellings are not significant. They may or may not regress over time.

I hope this answer has helped you.

Thank you

Regards
