Suggest Treatment For Large Bump On The Head After A Fall

Mother in law had a fall ten days ago she landed on her face we think she hit a concret post paramedics looked her over doctor round next day two black eyes. Large lump on forhead lots of bruises but ok . now most bruises gone eyes ok but large lump has come up on her forhead getting bigger each day no headache not sleeping well she is 84 and a very large lady water retention a problem. Do i need to call doctor she will not go out now so he will have to come to her or is this normal after bad bump thank you

Hi and thanks for this query.

It is normal to have a bump after a fall but it should not be increasing in size. Because of the progressive increase in size, I will suggest that she gets evaluated again to role out a possible continued bleed. I hope this helps and wish her well.
