Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain And Low Grade Fever

My grandson has been complaining about left knee pain since thanksgiving.He is seven years old.For the last two days has been running a low grade fever of 100.1. His mother has rheumatoid arthritis. Do we need to have him checked for strep A ? YYYY@YYYY

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the knee pain of seven years old child then trauma could be the cause and it needs to be ruled out first, chances of rheumatoid disease is very less likely at least routine tests can be done else this may not be anything related with the history of mother having rheumatoid, hope this information helps.
