Suggest Treatment For Kidney Infection

Hello, I am having pain in my side that goes down to the front right above the bikini area. It started on the left side in the back with a burning and then uncomfortable pain. I thought maybe a kidney infection but within a couple days it went to the side right above the hip and down the front. Sometimes the aching is worse then other times. Would you know what could cause this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history about a possible kidney infection as per your history of radiating pain on both sides.
The first most important thing is the proper diagnosis.
This is possible by the following ways:
Send the sample of urine for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity before the antibiotic is started.
Send the sample of blood and stool.
Ultrasonography of abdomen is the basic thing to do and may CT scan of abdomen if needed.
Any other tests as required.
Once the diagnosis is done then the proper and specific treatment can be done easily.
If there are stones then you may need surgery.
Long course of an antibiotic may be needed.
If the diagnosis is related to something else you will be treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
