Suggest Treatment For Itchy White Spots On Knees
When I go to a tanning bed I tan fine but from my knees down I get white spots that itch really bad and become raised almost like sores. I was told I have excema but I thought having that helped by going to tanning beds. I don t think that is what it is but I go thru tubes of anti itch cream and my legs look bad due to this. What do you think I have? I have tanned for years in tanning beds and outside and never had this happen. I am totally fine in the winter when I don t tan. Please can you help??

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy white spots on knees. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like allergic reaction , side effect , sensitivity to sunlight , eczema , psoriasis and impetigo . There can be possibility of fungal infection also. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to clean the area with mild soap and dry it , apply petroleum jelly , take benadryl twice a day and keep its away from dust and sunlight. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin test , blood test and allergy test to rule out other causes . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antifungal or antibacterial for secondary infection along with oral steroids .
