Suggest Treatment For Itchy Sore On The Back Of Head

So I had a sore appear on the back of my head and that happens some times, it s like a bug bite, itchy and stings and oozes a bit. That s happened before and I think it could be from scratching/after I cut myself there. But today I noticed a small bump on the back of my neck (I noticed one a few days ago too but it went away) that is hard and sore to the touch. I m a hypochondriac and have a panic disorder and I m freaking out like hard core right now cause when I google it it keeps saying possible cancer and I m really terrified and a complete mess please tell me I don t have cancer or what to do? I can t get in to see a doctor until tomorrow and it s just the student health at my school

I can understand your concern for itchy sore on the back of head.

It appears form your query that you are having the problem of recurrent folliculitis.

Let me reassure you that this is not related to any type of skin cancer or anything realted to any type of cancers.

It can be simply treated by a course of oral antibiotic such as cefixime or amoxycillin and an anti-inflammatory drug such as paracetamol or diclofenac.

DO not try to pinch or pop the area as can get further infected and can get spread to nearby areas.
