Suggest Treatment For Itchy Red Rash On The Stomach And Back
Hello. I have a rash on my stomach and back right now. It is extremely itchy. It is very red, pustules and some are scabbed over from itching it. The itch is driving me crazy yet I cannot get into the dr until monday . I have put prescription steriods on it, coconut oil, avoiding hot showers and taking benadryl. Nothing is helping with the itch. It literally feels like my skin is crawling. Besides getting a steriod shot at the dr, what ways can help to calm the itch?
I would like to know when is the itch most intense as the rash could be due toa parasitic infection which will not be relieved by steroids, especially over the long run,but will itch more and more after the steroids are withdrawn. You might use a preparation containing Crotamiton. which is a good anti-itching medication and without any side effects. For good relief either increase the dose of benadryl or switch over to another anti allergic as you might not be getting relief this compound. It would be good if you can post pictures of the rash as well as its distribution to give you further instructions
