Suggest Treatment For Itchy Fluid Filled Swollen Scab On Toe
I thought I had a mosquito bite on the knuckle of my big toe and it itched but I tried not to itch it and a few hours after noticing it, I noticed that it had fluid on the red, itchy spot and now it s more of a scab with fluid and it has swollen my toe and continues to itch. What can I do to heal it?
Hi, Let me tell you that the symptoms described by you suggest that you have blood blister. You can better send me a photo of the bump on reports in order to better evaluate it. Use rubbing alcohol to sterilize a small needle. Gently pierce one aspect of the blister to enable some of the fluid to drain. Wash the region with cleaning soap and water, being cautious now not to dispose of the pinnacle of the blister, as leaving this on will shield the pores and skin below. Cover loosely with a bandage, elevating the dressing a little in the center to supply the blister house to move.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Arup Majumdar (General and Family physician)
