Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Burning Spot On The Head

Hello, I ve been noticing itching/burning and a little bit of pain in one spot of my head and have noticed considerable thinning of hair. Pretty bummed obviously but wondering why its only in one spot and hasn t started spreading anywhere else. In fact i can feel it right now in the form of pressure on the one spot. What the hell is this!? And is the hair loss from it reversible? Thank yous

There are two possible causes of such lesions. It may occur due to scalp folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle. It can also be a result of seborrheic dermatitis which is also commonly known as dandruff. If it is the former condition than oral antibiotics like doxycycline will help and if it's the latter than ketoconazole shampoos may be used.Regards
