I have a patch of blister like bumps ( 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 ) on front of my upper leg that s itchy. I read it could be from friction... Possible since I wear skinny jeans often.. Trying steroid cream but is this going to take time to get rid of? White female 5 6 185 lbs 66 years old YYYY@YYYY
Hi. As per your case history we need to ask few questions like- Duration of skin blisters? Are both legs affected? My probable diagnosis in your case will be either a fungal infection or irritant contact dermatitis. My treatment advice- 1. Don't use steroid cream. As it may only cause temporary relief and relapse on stopping it. 2. Take oral anti-histamine drug like tab.levocetrizine for itching. 3. You can apply mild topical anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily. 4. For perfect diagnosis and treatment consult a dermatologist.
