Hi,

The type of infection needs to be confirmed by vaginal deep swab culture and sensitivity test followed by treatment with specific medication indicated by culture test. A sufficiently long course, depending on severity and duration of the problem must be taken. Spouse needs to be treated at the same time to avoid recurrence. Sex to be avoided till both partners are declared free from infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
