Suggest Treatment For Itching Abdomen, Hands And Back

For the past 3 months I experienced this intermittent itching on my hands and feet abdomen & back/chest w/o rash but has gotten worse this past few days that it happens more often like after I eat anything ,could be fruit ,carbs ,meat etc. which is driving me crazy. Benadryl tablets helps but don't want to take it more often.I have a h/o allergy to seafood including fish which I've avoided for 3 yrs. (also allergic to IV CT scan dye and MRI contrast). With this itching I also have excessive thirst that my tongue seems parched (drink a lot of water) and sometimes pain or discomfort on my LUQ of abdomen radiating to the back. Appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Dermatologist 's  Response

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
From your description its looks like you are having episodes of urticaria or hives, a kind of allergic skin eruption.
I would advise you to consult a dermatologist for proper management.
Usually i advise a long term course of various antihistaminics with or without corticosteroids.
Also, in certain non-responding cases various other medications like dapsone, montelukast, cyclosporine, omalizumab can be tried.
Thank you
Dr Hardik Pitroda
