Suggest Treatment For Irritation In Throat And Breathing Difficulty

Hi, Doctor I am khaiser. I got fever last month after going to mekkah. I took antibiotic for sinusitis the fever reduced after 3 days. But cough chest congestion started. I took dust allergy tablet airus for 10 days. But the chest congestion was there for more than 20 days after 1 month of the fever but still I am having slight cough throat irritation is severe. But again I went to doctor he checked my throat and said it is acute brounchitis. He gave me antihistamine (citrizine) and cough tablet ezipect.No Now after taking the cough tablet for 5 days for 2 times the cough was reduced and still I find un easyness in breathing. Now I am having uneasyness in breathing mild cough some times and severe throat irritation is there. After taking antihistamine in the night time I am sleeping well only afternoon after the 3 pm the severe throat irritaion and uneasyness in breathing is there. I am 47 years old, 5ft and 3 inches is my height and I am 60kgs. doctor has sugest me to consult the chest specialist after 5 days. Pls tell me what should I do for troat irritation and uneasyness in breathing. Thank you very much. waiting for the reply

Dear mr Khaiser, bronchitis related cough stays for 2-4 weeks after an infection. If symptoms are severe, I would suggest you take nebulization. You might require blood investigations to rule out chest infections. Your doctor is right in asking you to see a chest physician.
