Hi,

Having a baby and breastfeeding also makes your periods irregular. You have to follow a contraceptive if you are sexually active. Otherwise do not worry about having irregular periods. It gets regular after you stop breastfeeding.

This is not a reason to stop breastfeeding. I would suggest you continue till your baby is 1 year old and wean off from breast milk. You can expect a little delay in periods getting regular after you stop breastfeeding. If your periods doesn't resume 3 months after you breastfeed, reach out to local GP or gynecologist for check up. Healthy eating and physical activity of 30 mins per days whenever you find time can help you control PCOD hormonal changes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
