Suggest Treatment For Irregular Bowel Movements

Hello I wanted to get your thoughts on a troubling health issue I am experiencing. I am a 37 year old male. I have had a life long history of random bowel movement irregularities. I have had periods of diarreah that can last many days, then maybe constipation. I can be fine for a few months and then have diarreah for a week again and so on. I have been told I am lactose intolerant, so I stay away from milk a good degree and that helped in some ways. I have been told to try yougurt and probiotic pills. I can t say that helped much, although I only did that for maybe two months. Here in the past several months, things have been really weird. I eventually fell into periods of frequent constipation and had to use stool softeners fairly often. At least twice I saw red blood and mucus in the stools. I don t always check, but there seems to not be any blood anymore. (I am testing for blood in the stool starting today) It seems like there could still be some mucus, but I am not really sure. I finally became fairly regurlar but the troubling thing is the variances between bowel movements. For some reason I always felt like I was going way to little for the amount of time it was taking. I had previously been going days in between, when I had the constipation. So I felt like I was always behind to use a word. So I would say that there were weeks where if I went every day, it was litterally like maybe 4 or 5 measly inches of output. Then every once and awhile something crazy happens and the output is like feet long. I kid you not. This Sunday and Monday, back to back days, I was over two feet of output. That has never happened back to back days. I didn t go at all Tuesday, but Wednesday was a fairly large amount again. There is a much greater reason to why all this troubles me. My body seems to be eating itself, in my opinion. Something beneath my epidermis, either fat or muscle, I don t know which, is just deterioating. I can touch my chest are side of my stomach and literally feel bone now. I can even feel it happening in real time. It feels like an itchy, painless tearing or melting feeling in various parts of my body. I used to feel it in small amounts. Now it happens much more. I don t have health insurance and I go to one of those community centers, where they want to assume it s the simple thing, because getting you the help you need is so hard. My doctor at the health center today is literally telling me that it is because I don t exercise. Ok to be fair, I haven t excersised for 9 or 10 months, but does that really make sense. I have gone long periods of time before (not that long) withouth exercise, and my body was melting away from the inside. The doctor didn t even really feel anything but my stomach, so he has no idea what I am talking about. It s the kind of thing you just know for your self and if you poke me or touch me you can tell it just doesn t feel right. When I lay down or sit down I can literally feel the abrasions of my epidermis being pushed into my bones or whatever layers are under there. It s uncomfortable. Imagine something like lying on a carpet with a raw sore, where your skin has a numbed sensation moreso than pain. Either way it s annoying and worrying. So I wanted to know if you have any thoughts about this. If so I would very much like to hear them. Thank you. Brian
