Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Fever And Ulcerative Colitis

I am 21 years old male suffering from uc since 13 years. The disease is under control at present through administration of mesalazine 800mg x 2, ecotec,a probiotic twice daily, flagyl 200 mg x 2 plus vitamins and minerals including regular intake of ors to counter loss of essential electrolytes. I am grossly underweight and have to go to the toilet more than 6 times in a day ,which used to be more than 15 times in 24 hours some years ago . As a consequence, I suffer from low grade fever since more than a year. My body temp. in the morning is mostly around normal but slowly rises as the day progresses and by night, it often, not always, reaches beyond 99.5 degrees. I am a university student of software engineering studying in the 6th semester. Main antibiotics taken during all these years include cefspan, ciproxin, amoxillin, clafron, rochifin etc. including steroids. Plz. suggest appropriate treatment to control intermittent fever that I suffer from and safe treatment regimen to control uc.

If your colitis is active which it sounds like you might want to step up your treatment add something like or remicade or humira I don't like to use flagyl long term because of neuropathic side effects. Your colitis does not sound like it is well controlled and these other meds can really help.
