Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Yes please. Ive been recently diagnosed with insulin resistance.prescribed glucophage n taking cholestrl medz too.im 42 mum of 3.recently being getting severe headaches etc my bp was 157/103 today for the first time. Im in denial of everything and cant focus. I know i need change in lifestyle, quick fixes dont exist that i know.please help

Welcome to HCM,
I feel you are stressed out. Please try to relax. insulin resistance can be managed with metformin (Glucophage) and weight loss. Please note your current body weight and try to lose 5-10% of it in the next 6 months. This will help you well in overcoming insulin resistance. The major concern for you now is the blood pressure. If this was the first time in a physician's office repeat reading after cutting down on salt and relaxing yourself. If this reading has be taken by machine at home please go for a physician consult for manual blood pressure recording.
