Suggest Treatment For Insomnia

Hi, I have insomnia for the past 1.5mths and I am on sleeping pills...I am so sick of taking pills and wanted to go back my regular sleep regime. Everyday when the dark approaches, I am fear that i am unable to sleep and my heart is pumping hard everyday and making my life very miserable...I really need help. Tks SP

Hi Thank you for posting the query .First of all I would like you to eliminate all the fear you have regarding sleep.Start thinking in a positive manner.Regarding your query I think try to avoid sleeping pills as these have side effects and it will make you habitual.Try natural remedies like

Start practising yoga,pranayam and meditation everyday -
Bhastrika 10 - 15 minutes
Anulom vilom 10-15 min
Bhramri 10 -20 times
Udgeeth 10-20 times
Shavasan
Yog nidra
You can practise these pranayam under guidance of yoga expert

Put 2 drops of almond oil into both nostrils at bed time.
Massage your head with medicated oils like brahmi and bhringraj.
Consume 1 teaspoon of brahmi churn before sleep.
You can take ayurvedic medicines like brahmi churn,vati,saraswat churn,shankhpushpi churn or syrup after consulting doctor.
Soak almonds and walnuts overnight and consume in the morning.
Go for a walk every morning.
Stay positive and happy.
