When I am about to fall asleep. My body starts to tense up and start shaking. Starting from the neck and shoulders. This wakes me up and when I have my eyes open and fully awake everything is OK and I feel calm. In every attempt to go back to sleep the cycle starts over and over. This has caused me a lot of anxiety to a point of becoming anxiety disorder. I don t have energy during the day. This has been happening to me in the last 3 months. Have seen neurologist and a psychiatrist. Plus my Primary care. All of them have no idea. They think is related to anxiety. I have been taking Trazodone and Cymbalta for anxiety. The Trazodone helps with the sleep at night, it sedates me and I sleep ok. However when I take naps the issue still happens every time. I am wondering if anyone can direct me to the possible solution.
Hello. Thank you for writing us here. Anxiety won't last long you just have to figure out the things from your life which makes you anxious or make you stressed. Go for a long walk with your friends. Spend time with family and take a break from stressful life. Also I would suggest you to go for propanolol and clonazepam as anti anxiety and for insomnia. You have to take proponalol two times a day and clonezapam before going to sleep (I took the same medicines because I too had anxiety disorder before) so from my personal experience, I would recommend you these medications. You'll be alright in couple of weeks after these medications and changing your lifestyle and removing all the stresses.
