Suggest Treatment For Ingrown Hairs On Face

I have had an increased issue with ingrown hairs on my face. I have been plucking them and using a needle to get them out. Even hairs that are not ingrown seem irritated and if plucked are encapsulated in white/yellowish gel-like puss. My hairs seemed to be flat and ribbon shaped as opposed to round. Getting worse. Help

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having psedo-folliculitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't pluck hair as it may worsen the condition.
2. Don't use razor for shaving. Use a trimmer instead to avoid irritation.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it for healing.

With the above care the condition will heal in 2-3 weeks.

Thanks.
